So our Bosch mixer broke down a month ago and we haven't had homemade bread since. The kids have been asking me for homemade bread several times a week since they don't like store bought bread. I finally decided to call my neighbor and ask to borrow hers. I made 8 loaves! The kids were in heaven.

This girl is 2 going on 30. She loves to do what her siblings and parents do even if it is not age appropriate. She insisted on using scissors. I let her and it was the best decision ever made (or so I think now).  She was very careful, concentrated and was entertained for well over half an hour. 

I've got a whole list of new recipes to try and this was the first one. Chicken Tika Marsala with Naan bread. It was delicious. 

We have seen quite a few of these village pop up the last few days. The kids have been stuck inside the house for quite a while now since it has been so cold. The low has reached -4 F which is -20 C.

Daddy is our "indoor entertainment".

Tablets, tablets, tablets and an Ipod. Everyone was well entertained. 

We've had snow on the ground since Christmas (and some of it turned into ice). Bruce and the kids tried to get rid of the ice since a new storm is expected to arrive tomorrow.

 

Happy Birthday Oma. We celebrated her birthday on her last day with us. Guess how old she turned. I had to be creative with the numbers since that was all I had. 

 

Elizabeth's first day of Activity Days. She is very excited since all off her friends were already going.

Yuck! The garbage disposal broke down. Found out there was a hole in the back and the food started coming out. Cleaned it partially up before taking the picture but the whole back wall was covered. Ordered a new disposal, watched a You Tube movie on how to install it and we are all happy again.

Emma came with Jackie to attend the baptism. Elizabeth and Emma had a little "girls party" and went out for dinner to Applebee's. They insisted on being seated on the "high chairs".

Elizabeth got baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

We took some "baptism pictures" at the park in the SNOW. There was probably about 10 inches of snow and it was freezing but we survived. This was her favorite picture. I will post more on our other blog later.

A crafty day. Oma made scarves for the kids' dolls and stuffed animals. Elizabeth used her new sculpting clay that she got from Thomas for her birthday and Emilie and Thomas played with play dough.
